If you are ready to learn and try some new skills, take action and work together in a fail-free zone to improve your executive functioning skills then ADHD coaching may be what you are looking for. We know that progress is not a straight line forward but may have ups and downs as we navigate learning new skills. As long as you are looking to learn new skills about yourself and how to reach your goals, coaching could be a great fit!
Coaching works best if both parties are fully engaged in the process. If you are not feeling quite ready to commit to regular meetings or if you are feeling pressured to do coaching by someone else, it may not be the right time for you.

First we conduct a consultation call where I explain how I work and answer any of your questions. If you decide to move forward, we then set up payment and schedule our initial session with family. In the meantime, you complete an executive functioning assessment to give us a starting point. After our initial intake session, we schedule a regular meeting time that works for both of us and meet in person or online. We work together to set goals and make a plan to achieve them. Overall, ADHD coaching sessions are collaborative and focused on empowering you to develop practical skills and strategies to thrive in various aspects of your life despite the challenges posed by ADHD.

We conduct a free consultation call so I can explain how I work, answer any questions and we can get to know each other a little bit. Coaching is all about relationship so you get to decide after the consultation call if you feel you want to engage with me in a coaching partnership.

The answer is....it's based on the individual. Learning new skills and habits take time to develop and integrate into your life. Therefore, I recommend starting with a minimum 3-month commitment to give yourself a chance to learn and experiment with different strategies to find out what works for you. If you would like ongoing support over the academic year to keep you on track, I recommend considering the 6-month package.
Following the completion of your package, we can decide together what kind of support you feel you need moving forwards. We can discuss more about what is best for your particular needs during the consultation call.
Your progress and response to coaching will also play a role in determining the duration. Consistent participation and engagement in sessions, as well as willingness to implement strategies outside of sessions, can accelerate progress.

Coaching is different from therapy. A therapist may look into your past, emotional aspects and childhood traumas and work on healing things from your past.
An ADHD coach is focused on the future, setting goals, and supporting you to achieve them.
Coaches help their clients to develop strategies that can be used now and in the future to help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges in areas of executive functioning such as planning, organizing, and time management.

This is a great question and is very individualized. Some people feel they would like to improve their GPA while others want to feel more of a sense of control over their lives. Others are looking for concrete time management strategies so they can get their tasks done in an efficient way. We set clear goals at the beginning of the coaching process so we can measure what success looks like to you.
